As a student of graphic design on the verge of graduation, one begins to question one’s own position in the wide world of the creative market place. The frequently asked question, ‘So, what will you do after graduation?’ starts to play upon your mind.
I have given this question a lot of thought, in terms of what I wish to achieve after graduation but also where my work places me in the creative field. I feel that the work that I produce is very concept driven, and I get the most enjoyment out of my work when I can find a concept or ‘hook’ in a brief and follow this through, considering all the small details. To this end, I feel that my work tends to lean towards the more experimental/fine art side of design. Though concept driven I really enjoy the analytical approach of design, being able to reason choices down to the smallest detail. I love this consideration.
